Shining a Light on Oviedo

Oviedo, FL Community

Located at 2505 Lockwood Blvd, Oviedo, FL, Seminole State College’s Lee Campus at Oviedo stands as a vibrant hub for education and community growth. Academic Excellence Meets Hands-On Learning

The Lee Campus at Oviedo is more than just a place to attend classes. It features 147,000 square feet of state-of-the-art classrooms and labs that can accommodate nearly 7,000 students comfortably. Small class sizes ensure personalized attention from award-winning faculty, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Students can choose from a wide range of programs, including:

A Focus on Sustainability and Innovation

What sets the Lee Campus apart is its commitment to sustainability and environmental education. The campus is a hub for environmental studies and STEM programs, featuring a 120-acre nature preserve that provides a living laboratory for students. Professors like Patricia Smith, an environmental scientist, prepare students to tackle real-world challenges in energy, agriculture, urban planning, and more.

Adding to this green commitment, the campus is installing a solar array funded by a $94,000 grant from Duke Energy. This solar project, expected to be completed soon, will not only provide clean energy but also hands-on learning opportunities for students interested in renewable energy technologies.
